We are seeking an experienced and skilled Executive Chef to lead our culinary team at Parramatta Leagues Club Ltd. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing food preparations, managing kitchen staff, and ensuring the highest quality of dishes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate food preparation and meal service.
  • Cook all the dishes on the menu.
  • Provide training to cooks and kitchen hands and evaluate their performance.
  • Ensure the quality of dishes at all stages of the kitchen processes.
  • Create new menu dishes.
  • Checking and managing stock and order with suppliers as required for daily food preparation and performance.
  • Assist with selecting and training new staff.
  • Oversee the cleaning of work surfaces and other kitchen equipment to ensure that the necessary hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained in the kitchen.
  • Attend all scheduled employee meetings for improvement.
  • Prepare weekly staff rosters.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in a similar position in a busy environment.
  • Minimum of a Diploma related to cookery, kitchen management or hospitality management (preferred).
  • Excellent people skills and a suitable attitude to lead, grow, and collaborate with a large team.
  • Experience in a similar position in a hotel, restaurant, or club environment.
  • Being able to take the initiative and lead in these practical roles a strong sense of finance and the willingness to go above and beyond.
