Industrial Operations Director

We are seeking an experienced professional to manage the maintenance function at a large scale, complex site.

The ideal candidate will have proven engineering and maintenance knowledge, demonstrate strong leadership and decision-making skills, and be able to implement efficiency measures to limit production issues.

  • Adhere to policies and procedures, and continually improve processes.
  • Implement standardised preventative, corrective, and condition-based maintenance systems to ensure agreed plant availability.
  • Interface with external contractors and ensure all capital expenditure projects meet maintenance requirements.
  • Maintain effective cost control of maintenance operations.
  • Assist in operational implementation of Quality Management systems, Food safety systems, and Occupational health and safety systems.
  • Ensure maintenance procedures follow ISO 9001 and HACCP requirements.
  • Provide leadership and motivation to maintain employees to achieve company objectives.
Requirements
  • Qualifications in Engineering or related discipline.
  • 10+ years Industrial site maintenance experience.
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience at maintenance management/supervisory level.
  • Minimum 5-10 years experience in a Food Manufacturing environment, flour milling environment advantageous.

  • Strong customer awareness.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Hands-on engineering capabilities.
Technical Skills
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skill level.
  • SAP experience.
  • Negotiation skills with suppliers.
