Operations Director

The Opportunity

We seek a strategic and results-driven Operations Director to lead commercial strategy and project execution across our Major Projects portfolio, focusing on engineering and construction delivery in the Power sector.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop strategies, plans, structures, systems, and procedures for safe, cost-effective, and efficient business operation aligned with long-term business objectives.
  • Provide senior management and strategic leadership, establishing clear divisional objectives, setting standards, targets, and goals, implementing controls and KPIs to measure performance.
  • Monitor resource utilization, initiating ongoing review, benchmarking, development, and improvement of processes, facilities, and resources.
  • Oversee contract management and commercial execution of all contracts/projects/programs for the major projects portfolio, ensuring risk mitigation and deliverable achievement.

Requirements:

An appropriate tertiary qualification or equivalent industry experience is required.

Substantial trade experience preferably gained in an engineering environment, leading operations and projects in a multi-discipline engineering design, build, and commission operating environment.

A high level of business and commercial acumen, backed by the ability to create, read, and interpret budgets, financial statements, and analyze variance reports.
