We are seeking a highly skilled Risk and Compliance Manager to join our team at Anton Murray Consulting. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in delivering a contemporary risk management framework and partnering with senior leaders to influence risk activities across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Embed Risk Management Frameworks: Define and implement the 2nd Line of Defence, in accordance with the Risk Management Framework, to drive awareness and effective management of operational risks, compliance requirements, and controls.
- Build Strong Stakeholder Relationships: Develop outstanding relationships with all stakeholders to collaboratively drive change and deliver value, and be an advocate for a positive risk culture.
- Mentor and Guide: Educate and advise stakeholders regarding the development of strong risk and compliance capabilities within the business, and mentor, guide, and support the development of strong risk and compliance capabilities within the team and across the business.
- Represent the Organization: Represent the group as relevant at industry events and with regulators, and build, maintain, and provide oversight and advice on governance, risk, and compliance frameworks.
- Ensure Compliance Frameworks: Ensure the Compliance Framework adequately addresses identification and recording of compliance obligations, monitoring compliance with obligations, identification, assessment, and resolution of incidents, and compliance training.
- Implement Risk and Compliance Frameworks: Ensure the risk and compliance frameworks and related policies are maintained and implemented across the business, and liaise with auditors and external consultants as necessary to improve the effectiveness of operational risk and compliance implementation.
- Provide Information to External Auditors: Provide information to external auditors for AFSL, Financial Statements, and ASIC Deed Poll Audits, and educate staff and management across the business in relation to sound risk management practices, processes, and systems.
- Undertake Targeted Assurance Reviews: Undertake targeted assurance reviews to ensure risks are appropriately and effectively managed.
- Legal Background: A legal background or LLB degree is highly desirable.
- Experience in Financial Services: Over 5 years' experience in financial services risk and compliance roles, with experience within custody, managed investments, and/or asset management or corporate trustee businesses preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: A good understanding of Trustee ACL and AFSL regulatory obligations.
- Interpersonal and Communication Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and an understanding of business process, controls, and assurance.
