Financial Controller and Regulatory Reporting Expert

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Manager to join our finance department.
This is a 12-month contract role that requires the oversight of systems, processes and procedures that govern a broad range of financial activities.
You will provide leadership and support to the Financial Control team across a number of inflight projects.
In your role, you will Interpret complex regulatory and accounting concepts and communicate this to non-financial colleagues and Management.
You will assist with enhancing the monthly financial close activities, and ensuring they are performed timely and accurately by the responsible team members.
You will work closely with Line 1 Risk and Compliance teams to ensure all risks, obligations and policy requirements are identified and mitigated to acceptable levels.
To be successful, you will have prior experience working with the superannuation industry. You will be a qualified professional with CA or CPA status, with minimum 10 years post qualification experience in a chartered, trust/fund, or corporate accounting role ideally within the superannuation sector.
You will possess comprehensive knowledge of Australian Accounting Standards and Financial Reporting by Financial Services/Funds Management organizations.
Ideally, you will have experience with Oracle Cloud or other cloud-based ERP/EPM systems.
You will be passionate about improving processes, enjoy leading teams and have the ability to influence and bring people along on the journey.
