Job Summary:

New Horizons Enterprises Limited is seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for processing payroll transactions, responding to employee inquiries, and assisting with payroll reconciliations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll transactions, including fortnightly timesheets, termination payments, and salary packaging.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters, including entitlements, EBA, and Award interpretation.
  • Assist with the preparation, balancing, and reconciliation of PAYG, FBT, superannuation, annual payment summary, and Workers Compensation Premium.
  • Work closely with the Payroll Manager to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing.

Requirements:

  • 1-3 years' experience in payroll, preferably on best-of-breed payroll platforms, specifically ADP.
  • Knowledge of automated payroll processing and automated rostering systems.
  • Understanding of payroll principles and the general payroll legislative framework.
  • Understanding of employment law, awards, certified agreements, and company policies that apply to payroll.
  • Proven experience dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Police Check/Criminal History Check - willingness to obtain.
