Payroll Officer Role

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our National and State Office team. As a Payroll Officer, you will be responsible for delivering effective and efficient payroll operations, ensuring services are performed on a timely basis.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a portfolio of Regis facilities, collecting, calculating, and entering data to maintain and update payroll information.
  • Interpret various EBA's, awards, and entitlements to ensure compliance.
  • Assist senior payroll team members with reconciliation and month-end procedures, and payroll reporting to meet statutory obligations.
  • Resolve payroll discrepancies and queries, escalating complex issues in a timely manner.
  • Assist in ensuring the timely and accurate preparation of annual statutory returns, such as PAYG Payment Statements, Payroll Tax, and Workers Compensation Remuneration returns.

Requirements

  • Prior experience working in a large payroll function and team is beneficial.
  • Experience interpreting multiple complex Awards/Agreements is essential.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • Experience working with Chris21 and Human Force systems is preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft suite skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, are necessary.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is crucial.
