About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Payroll Officer to join our team in Redfern. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate processing of payroll, including timesheets, leave, termination calculations, superannuation, and other payroll calculations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process end-to-end fortnightly payroll for 11,000 employees within a team / 1,000 employees individually.
  • Process payroll autonomously with the i Chris payroll software.
  • Calculation and payment of termination payments.
  • Respond to worker queries as required to ensure that matters or issues are resolved in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Undertake required processes in i Chris and Salvos Workday to ensure accurate and effective data management.
About You

We are looking for a self-starter with strong analytical skills and a minimum of 2-4 years payroll experience. You will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in payroll. You will also have demonstrated 2+ years' experience in a similar payroll processing role, comprehensive knowledge of payroll legislation and award interpretation, a strong analytical background, and proficient Excel skills.
