Your role at our hospital is to provide high-quality food and service to customers, such as patients, caregivers, and others. You will ensure that the catering department delivers tasteful, nutritionally balanced meals of a high culinary and hygienic standard to patients and caregivers cost-effectively.
In this position, you will ensure supervision of all other caregivers employed in the kitchen when the catering manager is off duty and undertake these functions in accordance with the hospital's mission, values, and policies.
You will ensure compliance with infection control policies and guidelines and compliance with HACCP regulations and food safety plan.
As part of the team, you will actively be involved in all departmental programs and practices in compliance with statutory regulations.
The position-contribution to service delivery is coordinated to ensure the best possible outcome for the customer (i.e., doctors, patients, visitors, caregivers).- Ensure that high standards of professional practice are provided and maintained.- Always be courteous and friendly to patients, doctors, visitors, and caregivers.- Respect the values, beliefs, and spiritual needs of all patients.- Ensure customer complaints are handled in accordance with the complaints policy.- Maintain an awareness of customer feedback and participate in utilizing this information to evaluate and improve services.- Under the direction of the catering manager, ensure the preparation and presentation of sandwiches and salads to patients and caregivers-To maintain a high standard of personal and kitchen hygiene-To ensure that gloves are worn when handling food that will not receive further heat treatment.
You will have the ability to deliver exceptional customer service and possession of a food-handling certificate I & II is preferable.
To succeed, you will have excellent communication skills and experience with a food-service environment.
