Job Description

This role supports the Change and Risk Management team in managing changes and risks on a Water Desalination Plant project.

The Project Overview

The project involves the design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the plant with production expected to commence in 2028. Key works include marine construction, tunnel excavation, seawater intake system, a seawater reverse osmosis desalination facility, groundwater infrastructure, drinking water storage and pumping systems, supported by civil, electrical, and earthworks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in assessing and managing project changes affecting time, cost, and scope, including client-initiated and internal modifications.
  • Support contract claims for client-driven changes and cost-plus arrangements using project accounting data.
  • Ensure change requests are processed, approved, and communicated effectively to relevant stakeholders.
  • Deliver tailored training to site teams on the project-specific change management process.
  • Identify, assess, and monitor risks and opportunities, aligning them with change management strategies.
  • Engage stakeholders and report on risks, ensuring compliance through audits and providing actionable insights to senior management.

Essential Skills And Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications.
  • Basic measurement skills using software (e.g., BlueBeam).
  • Cost estimating capabilities, preferably with first-principle pricing knowledge.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to critically evaluate claim issues.
  • Capacity to handle competing priorities and multitask effectively.
