Job Title: Therapeutic Support Specialist

The Provisional Psychologist plays a crucial role in providing early intervention and therapy services to support children and families in maximising their independence and participation.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conducting standardised clinical assessments to determine goals and areas of need.
  • Providing information, education, and support to clients and families.
  • Developing functional, routine-based goals with clients and families.
  • Providing evidence-based therapy interventions and resources.
  • Reviewing progress and setting new priorities in collaboration with clients and families.
  • Supporting inclusion and participation in community activities.
  • Collaborating closely with key stakeholders and ensuring ongoing communication and support.
  • Focusing on continuous improvement through regular evaluation and review.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology with current Provisional Psychologist registration with AHPRA.
  • Passion for making therapy fun, engaging, and meaningful for families.
  • Counselling skills and ability to provide counselling and knowledge of therapeutic interventions to children, young people, and parents.
  • Experience in completing risk assessments and mental health assessments is desirable.
  • Compliance with necessary checks and certifications, including AHPRA registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS workers screening check, Covid-19 vaccination certificate or exemption, First Aid Training, and possession of a Driver's License and Vehicle.
