Early Intervention Specialist

As an Early Intervention Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support services to children and families. Your primary goal is to maximize their independence and participation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to determine goals and areas of need for clients and families.
  • Develop and implement personalized intervention plans, incorporating evidence-based therapy interventions and resources.
  • Collaborate closely with key stakeholders to ensure ongoing communication and support.
  • Review progress regularly and make adjustments as necessary.
  • Support inclusion and participation in community activities, fostering social connections and opportunities for growth.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology or a related field, with current registration as a Provisional Psychologist.
  • Counselling skills and knowledge of therapeutic interventions for children, young people, and parents.
  • Experience in completing risk assessments and mental health assessments, with a passion for making therapy engaging and meaningful.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders, including clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Compliance with relevant checks and certifications, including AHPRA registration, Working with Children Check, National Police Check, NDIS worker screening check, Covid-19 vaccination certificate or exemption, First Aid Training, and possession of a Driver's License and Vehicle.
