The Role


We are seeking a motivated Event Coordinator to join our Communications and Events team on a Permanent, full-time basis. As an Event Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating Council events, managing social media accounts, and creating engaging content to promote Council activities.


Your Key Responsibilities



  • Assist with the coordination of Council events, including planning, execution, and evaluation
  • Manage Council's social media accounts, creating engaging content to promote Council activities
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance Council's image and ensure accurate representation of residents' views
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to achieve communication goals
  • Research and draft speeches, briefings, corporate presentations, and other materials as required

Requirements


To succeed in this role, you will need:



  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Proven experience using a wide range of communications tools, including social media
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships across different parts of the organisation
  • Demonstrated ability to work reliably, independently, and in a team environment
  • Prior experience in organizing and coordinating functions and events
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills in Microsoft office applications

Salary and Benefits


The salary range for this position is $77,877.80 - $89,471.20 per annum, plus 11.5% Superannuation. As a permanent, full-time employee, you will also receive a range of benefits, including access to Council's flexible working arrangements.
