Job Title: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Indigenous Health

We are seeking a qualified Lecturer/Senior Lecturer to join our team and contribute to the teaching, learning, research, and curriculum development in Indigenous health within the School of Nursing and Midwifery.

About the Role:
  • This is an Identified position for Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples only.
  • The role actively supports the UTS Indigenous Education and Research Strategy by integrating Indigenous perspectives into nursing education, fostering collaboration within the Faculty of Health, and engaging with industry and community stakeholders to promote the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Indigenous peoples internationally.
About You:
  • You will have a PhD or Masters in nursing or a related discipline and current APHRA registration as a nurse or nurse/midwife.
  • You will have experience in delivering high-quality teaching in various modalities and a strong publication track record.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and deliver teaching and learning strategies about Indigenous health.
  • To integrate Indigenous perspectives into nursing education and foster collaboration within the Faculty of Health.
  • To engage with industry and community stakeholders to promote the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and Indigenous peoples internationally.

Selection Criteria:

  • Demonstrated level of capacity and skills in developing and delivering teaching and learning strategies about Indigenous health.
  • Knowledge of contemporary teaching and learning approaches and adult learning theories in higher education.
  • Experience teaching at a tertiary level, including face-to-face, blended and/or fully online teaching.
  • Strong professional links with relevant industry and community partners.
  • Ability to lead research activities and a strong publication track record.
