Wellbeing Carer: Where your passion for enriching lives meets endless possibilities

Do you thrive on creating joy and connection? Are you a natural at bringing people together and helping them discover their passions? If so, then we want YOU to join our vibrant team as a Wellbeing Carer at Bupa Tamworth. We are looking for PPT roles with most shifts from 11.30am-6pm.

Responsibilities
  • Be the fun facilitator: help residents explore their interests, both within the care home and beyond. From art classes and gardening clubs to day trips and movie nights, ensure there's something for everyone.
  • Social butterfly extraordinaire: be the friendly face who connects residents and fosters a sense of belonging through activities like bingo, afternoon tea, or other social events.
  • More than just activities: provide supportive companionship, assist with daily living (mealtimes and outings), and offer emotional support to those with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
  • Resident champion: gather feedback through surveys and family conferences to help activities hit the mark.
  • Team player: collaborate with the Lifestyle Coordinator and care team to plan activities, document progress, and escalate concerns as needed.
  • Catering crewmate: assist with plating and serving meals, adhere to food safety standards, and monitor resident preferences.
  • Hygiene hero: follow infection control protocols and maintain a tidy, safe environment.
Qualifications and requirements
  • A heart of gold: a passion for enriching lives is essential.
  • Can-do spirit: flexible, adaptable, and ready for a challenge.
  • Creative spark: ideas to make every day an adventure.
  • Excellent communication: connect easily with residents and colleagues, building trust and rapport.
  • Team player: collaborate effectively and support others with a positive attitude.
  • Experience: Previous experience caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is essential.
  • Certifications: Current Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support, or willingness to complete; First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Driver: Australian driver's licence.
