
Maritime Infrastructure Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Specialist to join our team in the delivery of complex maritime projects.
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing and planning activities for large-scale multi-discipline maritime facilities across various industries including defence, local government, state government, ports, and sustainability.
With exposure to these different industries, you will rapidly develop and gain valuable experience that will allow you to excel in this role.
You will be supported by and work with a range of other disciplines across KBR and other partners, leveraging your existing experience to deliver concept designs through to construction phase support.
There will also be opportunities to grow your leadership and business development skills as you will be assisting with project management and proposal tasks.
To succeed in this role, you should have 2-5 years of experience in structural design including reinforced concrete and steel.
You should have an interest or experience in the design, evaluation and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works and marine structures.
Candidates should also be capable of using structural analysis software such as SPACE GASS, Strand 7, IDEAStatica.
An interest or experience working with local governments, port clients and/or the Defence sector is desirable.
Familiarity with Australian structural design codes and guidelines is required.
Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering are essential.
Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance is necessary.
- Experience in structural design including reinforced concrete and steel.
- An interest or experience in the design, evaluation and reporting on ports, harbours, coastal works and marine structures.
- Capability and experience in using structural analysis software.
- An interest or experience working with local governments, port clients and/or the Defence sector.
- Interest to learn maritime analysis software.
- Familiarity with Australian structural design codes and guidelines.
- Working towards Chartered Professional Engineer credentials.
- Tertiary degree qualifications in Civil or Structural Engineering.
- Eligibility for Australian Government security clearance.
