Cultural Heritage Professional sought to support Indigenous Participation and Cultural Heritage functions across the energy portfolio.

This role involves developing strategies to address contractual commitments with Traditional Owner Groups and their entities, reporting to the Cultural Heritage Lead.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relevant procedures and systems;
  • Represent clients on field surveys and supervise field crews;
  • Ensure compliance with agreements, coordinating third-party resourcing and logistics;
  • Maintain stakeholder relations for Cultural Heritage delivery;
  • Engage with Traditional Owner Groups to report on cultural heritage requirements and outcomes.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in archaeology or related fields (desired);
  • Strong knowledge of legislative requirements for Indigenous Cultural Heritage in Queensland;
  • Working knowledge of Native Title legislation;
  • Experience with project management and budgets;
  • Able to travel to site from time to time;
  • Residency in Brisbane CBD or surrounding areas preferred.
