Job Opportunity

This is an exciting chance to be part of a diverse team as a Senior Production Officer, working hands-on across various facilities in the Illawarra region. Your role will involve operating and maintaining water resource recovery assets, ensuring environmental protection and compliance with regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities
  • You will be responsible for the safe operation and maintenance of water resource recovery assets, protecting the environment and meeting customer expectations.
  • Provide mentoring, support, and technical advice to the team, identify areas for performance improvement to enhance team effectiveness.
  • Conduct daily plant performance testing, adjust process control parameters, execute on-site process and asset checks using available systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Manage onsite safety and works coordination through implementation of safety procedures.
  • Work closely with our maintenance provider to ensure timely completion of work orders, including breakdown, corrective, and preventative maintenance.

Requirements
  • A high level of knowledge and extensive experience in a similar role.
  • Trade qualifications (electrician/instrumentation specialist or mechanical) or qualifications in engineering/science or equivalent experience.
  • A current driver's license and own vehicle for flexibility to travel across various locations within your hub.
  • The ability to commit to working on a rotating roster, inclusive of day shifts, after-hours standby, and weekend roster.
  • Computer skills, basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, and comfortable learning customised software packages.
