About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and friendly Porter to join our team at The Star Brisbane. As a key point of contact for our valued guests and visitors, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring a seamless experience for all.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport and Store Luggage: Safely transport and store luggage for guests, ensuring it is delivered to their rooms in a timely manner.
  • Efficient Guest Handling: Ensure efficient and courteous handling of all guest arrivals and departures, providing a warm welcome and farewell.
  • Guest Enquiries: Respond promptly and professionally to all guest enquiries and requests, providing accurate information and resolving any issues.
  • Hotel Knowledge: Maintain current knowledge of the hotel, including guest rooms, restaurants, bars, convention, and casino facilities.
  • Vehicle Parking and Retrieval: Park and collect guest and patron vehicles promptly and without damage.
What We're Looking For
  • Exceptional Customer Service: A genuine dedication to delivering outstanding customer service and ensuring guest satisfaction.
  • Prior Experience: Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a hospitality or customer-facing environment.
  • Valid Driver's Licence: A current and valid driver's licence, essential for parking and retrieving vehicles.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Exceptional presentation and communication skills, with the ability to interact with guests and colleagues in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Brisbane Knowledge: Familiarity with the Brisbane area, including knowledge of local attractions and events.
