We are seeking a skilled Program Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in program management, project delivery, and stakeholder engagement.

About the Role:

The Principal Program Officer will work collaboratively with community sector partners providing expert advice and guidance of the delivery of high-quality program reform and management of programs and capital works projects by:

- Effectively engaging and liaising with the Housing Partnerships Office, HHS to ensure that built products and services meet the needs of the community at a place-based level.

- Effectively managing projects at a high level to support the capital works program of the team, utilising and implementing the Agile project management methodology.

- Undertaking complex business analysis and reporting functions for the team, including urgent requests for project information from across the department.

- Responding to emerging policy and funding issues relating to the National Regulatory Scheme for Community Housing.

- Leading the implementation of effective business processes and providing high-level customer service to manage the registration of proposals and innovative ideas from individuals and organisations for consideration by the Department.

- Leading the development and implementation of funding reform activities that are effective, integrated with the 2017-2027 Queensland Housing Strategy, whole-of-government policy directions, and responsive to variation in regions, communities and client groups.

- Providing professional, expert and timely advice to colleagues and senior management to inform strategy, direction and generation of solutions to complex problems.

- Researching and preparing proposals, project plans, recommendations, submissions and briefing papers of a complex nature.

- Guiding the department's investment in social housing through the development of housing assistance projects that are robust, evidence based and represent value for money.

- Supporting and helping maintain a workplace safety culture by ensuring that all policies and practices concerning Workplace Health and Safety are applied and a part of day-to-day operations.
