Census Community Outreach Coordinator

  • Manage outreach initiatives for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and communities.
  • Directly engage with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Elders, organisations, and service providers to raise awareness about the Census and promote participation.
  • Assist in recruiting and training a team of field staff who possess cultural competence and sensitivity.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement effective outreach strategies to increase Census participation among Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Build strong relationships with community leaders, Elders, and other stakeholders to foster trust and cooperation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery of outreach programs and services.
  • Provide guidance and support to field staff to ensure they have the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively engage with communities.
