About the Role

The Warfare Products Director is a critical leadership position within the Australian Government Department of Defence, responsible for the development, implementation, and ongoing management of product management strategies to achieve optimal use of Defence resources and assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Transition acquisition assets into service to be sustained in the Directorate under a Materiel Sustainment Agreement (MSA);
  • Enable the successful coordination of Products into Major Acquisition and Sustainment Programs;
  • Provide product road-mapping advice and support to senior management on product/project strategy across the branch.

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and comprehensive knowledge of delivering on Government decisions – with experience delivering Acquisition Projects and Sustainment of Products;
  • Demonstrated experience with stakeholder relationships both internally and externally to Government and strong communication skills – preferably has strong experience navigating stakeholders at the Director to Division Head levels.
