Job Title: Workshop Administrator

The successful applicant will be responsible for supporting workshop operations, ensuring smooth workflow and accurate documentation of work packages. The role contributes to the maintenance activities under the Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC), adhering to Defence regulations and standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform administrative tasks to support tradespersons and Defence personnel, utilising SAP and office-based systems.
  • Assist with daily workshop operations, maintaining inventory records, preparing requisitions and expediting repair parts for ADF fleets.
  • Support planning and scheduling of maintenance activities, including work order management and Commonwealth Supply Customer Accounts (SCAs).
  • Prepare written work schedules aligned with ADF priorities and assist in maintaining Commonwealth systems.
  • Coordinate site maintenance, subcontractor access, housekeeping and consumables replenishment.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across workshop operations and administrative processes.
Requirements:
  • Proven administrative experience in a workshop environment, with knowledge of workshop flows, Hazchem and OHS standards.
  • Proficient in SAP for maintenance and procurement, and skilled in Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong planning, organisational and communication skills, with attention to detail in record-keeping and scheduling.
  • Demonstrated initiative, integrity, accountability and a proactive can-do attitude.
  • Effective team player with the ability to motivate and support others.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records, schedules and information systems.
  • Current Australian State or Territory Class C Driver's Licence.
