Job Overview

The Mine Surveyor role at a gold mine in Western Australia is responsible for providing day-to-day survey control to ensure safe and efficient mining operations.

Main Responsibilities
  • Generate accurate survey data using appropriate equipment and best practices.
  • Maintain high-quality survey equipment and ensure calibration and adjustment parameters are met.
  • Ensure emergency plans are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Contribute to the creation of mine plans for regulatory submissions.
  • Install survey stations for directional control of mining activities.
  • Carry out accurate mark-ups of designs for development and diamond drilling activities.
  • Produce high-quality survey plans and memos in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an accurate survey as-built model and conduct CMS surveys as required.
  • Support end-of-month surveys and other miscellaneous survey tasks.
Requirements
  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Surveying.
  • Previous experience in surveying for mechanized hard-rock underground mines.
  • Familiarity with Deswik Survey software.
  • Excellent skills in spreadsheet, presentation, word processing, and database applications.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
  • Current C-Class WA Driver's License.
  • HLTAID003 Provide First Aid (desired but not essential).
