Job Role: Survey Technician

We are seeking a skilled professional to support Mine Surveyors with survey requirements, working across the site with exposure to underground, open pit projects, and exploration activities.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for:

  • Maintenance of a reliable survey control network (underground and surface) that will seamlessly operate within the mining cycle.
  • Accurate and timely provision of survey control including set out and pickup of activities to enable production and development requirements to be carried out efficiently.
  • Collection, recording and evaluation of survey information and preparation of databases, maps and plans to assist mining and site teams with daily and weekly production plans.
  • Support in implementing and completing these plans.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess good spatial awareness, ability to integrate skillfully within the working environment, attention to detail, robust analytical skills and an ability to build strong and collaborative relationships across site.

The following qualifications and skills are essential:

  • Diploma in Mine Surveying
  • Experience as a Survey Technician, preferably with underground exposure
  • Working knowledge in mine surveying software such as Deswik or similar technology
