About the Opportunity

As a Business Analyst Consultant, you will work closely with our director, clients, and contractors to deliver technology-enabled energy solutions.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy analysing data, identifying process improvements, and providing valuable insights that support smarter energy management and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyse and interpret data from various platforms including NMI meters, BMS systems, MSATS, and other systems.
  • Conduct business process reviews and recommend ICT-enabled improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Prepare reports on bill validation, usage trends, forecasting, and budgeting to inform business decisions.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and design ICT solutions that meet their needs.
  • Support energy efficiency and embedded network management programs to reduce costs and improve performance.
  • Develop business documentation including requirements, workflows, and specifications to ensure clarity and consistency.
  • Assist with tenders, procurement, and market research to guide business strategies and make informed decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in a related discipline.
  • 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or consulting, ideally in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of energy market rules and compliance (AER, embedded networks, state-based electricity/gas rules).
  • Proficiency in MSATS (including Child NMI management), EMP reporting, and BMS systems.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills to extract insights and inform business decisions.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills to build strong relationships and achieve results.
