Business Consultant Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Business Consultant to join our team and contribute to the development of innovative energy solutions.

The successful candidate will work closely with our director, clients, and contractors to deliver technology-enabled energy solutions. They will analyse energy and business data, identify process improvements, and provide valuable insights that support smarter energy management and decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Business Consultant to leverage their skills and expertise in a dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyse and interpret data from NMI meters, BMS systems, MSATS, and other platforms.
  • Conduct business process reviews and recommend ICT-enabled improvements.
  • Prepare reports on bill validation, usage trends, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements and design ICT solutions.
  • Support energy efficiency and embedded network management programs.
  • Develop business documentation including requirements, workflows, and specifications.
  • Assist with tenders, procurement, and market research to guide business strategies.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a related discipline.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in business analysis, reporting, or consulting, ideally in the energy sector.
  • Strong knowledge of energy market rules and compliance (AER, embedded networks, state-based electricity/gas rules).
  • Proficiency in MSATS (including Child NMI management), EMP reporting, and BMS systems.
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving ability and capacity to work independently.
