Job Overview

This Enterprise Architect role is responsible for defining account strategy and bridging the gap between customer business strategy and SAP solutions.

The initial assignment involves a transformation program within a Centre of Excellence for Federal Australian Agencies, followed by transitioning into the broader Customer Success and Delivery area.

Key Responsibilities
  • Account Planning & Architecture Management
    • Assess current customer solutions from SAP to identify opportunities for faster adoption and expansion of SAP Business Suite footprint.
    • Engage with customers as an integral member of the SAP account team to support sales cycles.
    • Drive business and IT architecture definitions to ensure alignment with SAP organizations, customers, and partners.
    • Provide linkage from customers to SAP product development leadership.
  • Creating an SAP Architecture Vision for Customers
    • Support building customer demand through thought leadership and innovation positioning.
    • Understand customers' business process maps and business models with industry reference architecture focus.
    • Understand customers' current enterprise landscapes and future needs.
    • Drive positioning of standard cloud architectures leveraging standard cloud solutions.
    • Develop roadmaps to help customers transition to SAP's cloud solutions.
  • Building Key Customer Architecture Deliverables
    • Drive business architecture and capability mapping to solution design.
    • Ensure IT feasibility of business capabilities mapping to SAP solution architecture.
    • Support customer cloud transformation roadmap definition (business and application focus).
    • Drive customer cloud/hybrid transformation roadmap definition (standard cloud application and technology focus).
  • Being a Trusted Architecture Advisor for Customers
    • Align living roadmap with current adoption/solution consumption.
    • Support living roadmap governance & adaptation based on evolution of customer needs and SAP solutions.
    • Drive solution expansion by highlighting value & linkages to the broader SAP Portfolio.
    • Contribute architectural input into development of value-based business cases.
Experience & Qualifications
  • Considerable experience with software/IT organizations as an IT Architecture or Enterprise Architecture Advisor and/or expertise with software solutions through Solution Management, Sales, Presales, Adoption/Consumption, Consulting or Business Development, with successful outcomes over multiple years.
  • Represent SAP as a trusted advisor within SAP and/or the market.
  • Deep knowledge of Cloud, Hosted Services, SaaS/PaaS models, and cloud-based commerce/business networks.
  • Proven professional networks to drive pipeline and revenue growth for SAP.
  • Proven track record of success in the Public Sector area, if required.
  • Proven leadership and project management experience.
  • Proven experience of driving tangible outcomes in Enterprise Architecture for customers.
  • Fluency in English; any other language is an asset.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) required; MBA or equivalent degree preferred.
  • Togaf or SAPIEA-10 certifications and experience using EAM tools is an added value.
