Key Leadership Role in Surgical Services

The Alfred Operating Suite Manager plays a pivotal leadership role within our organization, overseeing the strategic development and implementation of programs for both the Alfred Main Operating Suite and Alfred Centre Operating Suite.

This position requires a high level of management and leadership skills, including the ability to lead and manage change, communicate effectively, motivate individuals and groups, and work with people to problem solve in a solution-focused manner.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and overseeing clinical nurse managers, as well as providing support to nursing staff, senior medical staff, and other health professionals.

    • Surgical Services Overview
    • The Surgical Services Program delivers surgical services across all Alfred Health sites, consisting of surgical units, anesthesia and perioperative medicine, operating suite service, surgical inpatient wards, a medical day unit, day of surgery admissions, day surgery and endoscopy service.
  • Key Responsibilities
    • Leadership and Management
    • Develop and implement programs to complement and innovate new and existing services.
    • Manage and oversee clinical nurse managers and theatre technicians.
  • Qualifications and Experience
    • Current Registered Nurse Division 1 registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant experience or tertiary qualifications.
    • Demonstrated management and leadership skills, including ability to lead and manage change, communicate effectively, motivate individuals and groups, and work with people to problem solve in a solution-focused manner.
