Job Description

We're seeking a highly skilled Staff Machine Learning Engineer to join our Machine Learning Platform (MLP) team. As a key member of this team, you'll work closely with data scientists and engineers to build and enhance our machine learning platform powered by AI and Large Language Models (LLMs). Our platform is built on Google's Vertex AI, and we're looking for someone to help us accelerate our capabilities in this area.

As a Staff Machine Learning Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying machine learning models and pipelines that enable our product teams to leverage the power of Gen AI. You'll work on tasks such as data labeling, fine-tuning models, evaluation, CI/CD, deployment, versioning, monitoring, and mitigating prompt injections. You'll also collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and contribute to best practices in ML engineering
  • Collaborate and guide other engineers in your team through pair/mob programming, writing solution designs, or giving feedback on pull requests
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning and AI technologies and integrate them into our products
  • Play a huge role in coaching and uplifting other engineers in the team
  • Play a tech lead role for the team and work with leadership to define long-term technical vision for the team
Requirements
  • Python software engineering expertise
  • Experience with various stages of the ML lifecycle and MLOps: data labeling, fine-tuning models, evaluation, CI/CD, deployment, versioning, monitoring, etc.
  • Familiarity with machine learning libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, HuggingFace)
  • Understanding of transformer architectures and LLMs
  • Experience working with AI, machine learning, LLMs, and NLP
  • Experience working with cloud platforms and infrastructure (e.g., AWS, GCP)
