Electrical Communications Section - Auto Electrician

We are seeking a skilled Auto Electrician to join our Electrical Communications section at George Fisher Mine. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of work in maintenance, repairs, and servicing of site vehicles and equipment.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough and consistent maintenance of site vehicles and equipment
  • Work collaboratively with Auto Electricians and Radio Technicians to achieve team goals
  • Participate in servicing, repairs, and preventive maintenance change outs, as well as field work
  • Perform works on a range of mobile mining equipment, including Caterpillar, Sandvik, Epiroc, Normet, and Komatsu
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects

Requirements:
  • Trade qualification in Auto Electrical
  • Ability to read and interpret auto electrical schematics
  • Minimum of 2 years industry experience working as a qualified tradesperson
  • Capability in conducting fault finding on electrical systems and machines
  • Efficiency with OEM diagnostics tooling
  • Current Australian manual driver's license
  • Automation experience beneficial
