
Student Systems Team Lead

The primary objective of this role is to lead and manage the student systems team, overseeing the development, implementation, and maintenance of user support resources.
- Lead staff engagement, performance, and career development within the Systems Support team, ensuring optimal capacity and resource allocation.
- Strategy tracking and delivery, with a focus on presenting divisional level reporting on projects and performance, contributing to institutional level reporting.
- Oversee the creation and implementation of comprehensive user support resources, including documentation, training materials, and FAQs.
- Manage complex projects related to continuous improvement activities, infrastructure improvements, identified functional issues, and new system implementations, ensuring timely and accurate reporting on status, risks, and timelines.
- Coordinate user access management to student systems, including access request processes, role definition, and role authorization audits, ensuring only suitable users have access in adherence to privacy and risk controls settings.
- A degree or postgraduate qualification from a recognized higher education institution, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience, education, and/or training.
- Strong technology platform fluency, with a deep understanding of contemporary IT protocols and operating environments.
- High-level oral and written communication skills, enabling effective engagement with internal staff and interpretation/communication of systems matters to a broader audience.
- Experience leading a team, developing people, and creating a highly engaged and skilled workforce to deliver outcomes in complex systems environments.
- Demonstrated ability to proactively identify and execute improvement activities, launch and deliver projects, and undertake sound processes associated with continuous development and refinement in effective Systems Support.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate staff to achieve shared goals.
- Strategic thinking and planning, with a focus on driving business outcomes through effective project management and delivery.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands to meet deadlines.
