Procurement Manager - Process Improvement Specialist

V/Line is transforming, and we're looking for a skilled Procurement Manager to lead our process improvement efforts. As a key member of our Corporate Services Group, you will oversee the strategic road mapping of our procurement processes and procedures, ensuring effective change management and continuous improvement.

About the Role

You will be responsible for:

  • Deploying and implementing new procurement methodologies, frameworks, and processes to maximize adoption.
  • Creating and delivering strategies to drive and maintain adoption across procurement and business stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with leaders to identify and address current and emerging improvement opportunities within procurement.
  • Overseeing procurement quality and assurance activities, ensuring management plans and strategies are in place for new projects and initiatives.
  • Identifying and engaging key stakeholders, conducting impact analysis and business readiness activities.
  • Managing and engaging a network of procurement system change champions to support and sponsor change within the business.
  • Overseeing content governance for procurement processes, including procedures, quick reference guides, work instructions, intranet content, and content strategy and maintenance.

About You

You are a change leader and a senior procurement professional with excellent negotiation and influencing abilities. You are an excellent communicator and have the ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including senior business leaders.

We are looking for someone with:

  • Previous experience taking a team through transformation and capability uplift, coaching and mentoring direct reports.
  • Extensive understanding of end-to-end procurement processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Proven ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage change effectively.
  • Successfully managed the deployment of practical procurement processes and frameworks.
  • Demonstrated alignment to V/Line's values of responsiveness, integrity, impartiality, accountability, respect, leadership, and human rights.
