Team Lead - University Services

This role plays a pivotal part in overseeing the deployment teams at RMIT. The Team Lead will be expected to foster a cohesive team environment and are responsible for creating, updating and maintaining documentation at both universities.

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the Deployment Technician Teams daily activities, providing ongoing advice, training, and development to ensure effective delivery of deployment services.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for customers and onsite teams, taking ownership of escalation issues and expediting the resolution process.
  • Develop and implement Service Improvement Plans to address areas where team performance is inadequate, documenting procedures and processes.
  • Manage performance and set targets for individual team members, including clear objectives and monitoring results.
  • Support the long-term viability of the team by ensuring they operate within compliance frameworks and identify and mitigate risks.
  • Generate scheduled Weekly and Monthly Operational Reports to management, as well as ad hoc reporting where required.

Key qualifications include:

  • Previous experience working in a team lead role.
  • Proven experience with Microsoft Office Suite and ability to use reporting tools.
  • Good understanding of how universities operate and higher education.
  • Ability to mentor, support and guide technicians.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Additional requirements include:

  • Travel on-site to client locations.
  • Must be an Australian resident available to work full time without restrictions.
