Job Title: Cook - Westbourne Park, Part Time

This is a permanent part-time role working Tuesdays and Wednesdays, where you will get in your passion for cooking.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare enjoyable, nutritious meals for residents on their individual requirements or modified diet.
  • Liaise with staff at the centre for feedback on how meals were received and for any updates to dietary requirements.
  • Use initiative, be organised and flexible to meet food service needs, including promotion of healthy eating practices.
  • Lead and assist the hospitality team in meal preparation and following food handling practices.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace to a high standard.

Requirements:
  • Certificate III in Hospitality (Commercial Cookery) or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience working in an aged care environment is highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to work positively and productively to prepare and deliver quality, nutritious meals.
  • Demonstrated understanding of food hygiene practices.
  • Ability to develop a strong, cohesive work team.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to interact with residents in a friendly manner.
  • Proven ability to liaise with suppliers and order supplies for the kitchen.
