About the Role

We're seeking a Physiotherapy Aide to join our team at IRT Crown Gardens, Batemans Bay. As a Physiotherapy Aide, you'll play a vital role in enhancing the physical mobility and quality of life of our clients by following individual routines, reporting changes, and supporting the provision of physiotherapy. You'll work under the guidance of our Care Manager to deliver physiotherapy programs that meet the diverse physical needs of our residents.

This is a part-time opportunity, working Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 3:30pm. If you're passionate about making a difference in the lives of older Australians, we'd love to hear from you.

Your Responsibilities
  • Implement physiotherapy programs in group settings or one-on-one, as directed by a physiotherapist
  • Assist and motivate residents to maintain their independence
  • Prepare treatment areas, set up equipment, and complete associated documentation daily
  • Assist in the development and review of resident care plans
Requirements
  • Certificate IV in Allied Health Assistance (specialising in Physiotherapy) or equivalent
  • Certificate IV in Leisure & Health or another relevant qualification
  • Previous experience in designing and developing physio programs (desirable)
  • Knowledge of transfers and mobility, pain management, equipment use, and biomechanics
  • Ability to prioritise your work to meet daily requirements
  • Effective problem-solving skills with the ability to generate new ideas and solutions
