Claims Consultant
About the Role:As a Claims Consultant, you will be responsible for assessing and adjudicating on claims made by individuals under their policies who are at their most vulnerable. This role requires interacting with customers, doctors, accountants, lawyers, rehabilitation experts to make informed decisions that impact people's lives.
This is a unique opportunity to join our team as part of the Foundation team, where you will receive dedicated training and support to achieve your first claims delegation within four months.
- Independently manage a portfolio of life insurance claims end-to-end
- Assess, analyse, calculate, and finalise claims payments
- Active engagement of external and internal specialists
- Provide exceptional customer service and compliance
- Participate in case conferences, peer case discussions, and instructing third-party service providers
Building rapport and empathy with customers during difficult times is crucial for this role. You should have experience helping customers return to work or their best life, with strong customer and key stakeholder focus, sound communication & decision-making skills, innate curiosity and passion to continue learning, openness to constructive feedback in development, high attention to detail, and experience supporting people through crisis management, rehab or recovery.
