Job Summary

This is a butchery role that involves preparing premium meats for sale. The ideal candidate will have expertise in meat cuts, portioning, boning, and preparation techniques.

The successful applicant will be responsible for operating machinery to grind, mix, mince, tenderise, and fill sausages, as well as using smoking chambers and cooking kettles.

The job also requires managing stock levels, monitoring inventory, and placing orders to maintain a consistent supply of quality meat.

Additional responsibilities include advising customers on the suitability, cooking methods, and uses of different cuts of meat, as well as training and mentoring junior staff in butchery techniques, processes, and food safety compliance.

Key Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Relevant trade qualifications or certifications in butchery or meat processing.
  • Minimum 1 - 2 years of experience as a butcher or meat processor.
