Public Health Researcher

We are seeking a highly motivated researcher to join our team as a PhD scholar for the Health4Her project. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to world-class research on the link between alcohol consumption and female breast cancer.
About the ProjectThe Health4Her project is a collaborative initiative between Monash University, Turning Point, Eastern Health, and other leading organizations. Our goal is to raise awareness about the low levels of drinking that cause harm among women participating in population-based breast screening programs.
Your RoleAs a PhD scholar, you will conduct research on the implementation-effectiveness trials, exploring issues around women's health and alcohol consumption. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team based at Turning Point, Australia's leading national addiction treatment and research centre.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research methods, utilizing implementation research frameworks and consumer and stakeholder participation approaches.
- Gather data and explore issues around women's health and alcohol literacy, attitudes, social practices, health promotion, and behavior change.
We offer a competitive salary of $AUD 28,597 per annum (Level A7), plus superannuation and leave loading. As a member of our team, you will have access to professional development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, and a dynamic work environment.
Requirements- PhD minimum requirements for admission to a PhD at Monash University.
- A strong research background, preferably in public health or a related field.
