Key Commercial Counselor Position

">Job Summary">

We are seeking an experienced and skilled lawyer to provide legal services and support to our organization, focusing on technology and commercial contracting. As a Key Commercial Counselor, you will work closely with various business units to advise on commercial agreements, draft and review contracts, and negotiate with third-party vendors.

  • Advise on and assist in the negotiation of complex commercial agreements, including master services agreements, statements of work, SaaS agreements, and software licenses.">
  • Draft, review, and negotiate technology and commercial contracts to meet organizational standards and manage negotiating strategies for material agreements.">
  • Support group transformation projects, outsourcing arrangements, M&A transactions, corporate restructures, and annual disclosure reviews.">
  • Provide corporate advisory legal assistance to business units serviced by the Technology, Procurement, and Commercial Legal team.">
  • Collaborate with senior counsel to support organizational initiatives and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.">
">Required Skills and Qualifications">
  • ">
  • Admitted as a legal practitioner in Australia with 6-8 years post-qualification experience (PQE).">
  • Private practice or in-house experience involving technology contracting, outsourcing, and general commercial vendor contract reviews and negotiations is advantageous.">
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, ability to negotiate and draft on material contracts of strategic importance.">
  • Ability to draft, review, and negotiate technology and commercial contracts to meet organizational standards.">
  • Knowledge of technology law, operational risk management regulations, privacy, and data protection; familiarity with APRA and other prudential standards for Australian ADIs, Corporations Act, ASX Listing Rules is favorable.">
