Role SummaryAs a Retail Customer Service Officer, you will play a crucial role in assisting Australians in managing their business needs, ensuring connectivity for millions, and fostering community resilience. Each year, approximately one million customers visit our Australia Post Offices, and it is our retail teams that ensure each interaction is a positive one. You will be supported by a friendly team, receive ongoing training, and have access to career development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Execute customer sales and service transactions efficiently.
- Handle high-value transactions with precision, including cash, cheques, credit cards, and EFTPOS.
- Conduct various identity services transactions, such as Australian Passport Interviews.
- Promote products and services through effective up-selling, cross-selling, and merchandising strategies.
- Assist customers with mail lodgements and associated costs.
- Build meaningful relationships with customers by understanding their needs.
- Support administrative tasks such as stocktaking and record maintenance.

- Possess experience in customer service and/or cash handling.
- Be physically capable of lifting up to 16kgs of mail regularly and standing for the duration of your shift.
