**Job Description**

We are seeking a seasoned Principal Consultant for Power and Cooling in Australia to join our Global HPC Professional Services and Power & Cooling team. This position represents a rewarding opportunity to use your experience and skills in a dynamic, complex organization and to deliver across our major customer sites.

As a High Performance Computing Consultant, you will decipher complex RFP requirements related to facility power and cooling infrastructure and help IT architects design an IT solution that fits within those limitations.

Drive the build vs. buy decisions as needed, identify key technologies needed to deliver new products with each release, participate actively with Development and external organizations like ASHRAE while staying current with technologies and techniques that will move our business forward.

Be actively involved in the physical installation of complex IT systems that are air or water-cooled, provide engineering guidance over a wide range of disciplines (power/electrical, mechanical, thermal, plumbing, controls), and effectively project manage vendors contracted to provide separate pieces of the solution.

**Requirements**

  • Possess strong customer interaction skills and ability to make technical decisions.
  • Collaborate during projects with several organization verticals, partners, and customers.
  • Experience working in technology disciplines such as power/electrical or mechanical/thermal engineering.
  • Understanding of data center and IT solution power delivery architectures.
  • Understanding of data center and IT solution cooling architectures and heat transfer.
  • Proven ability to work across a wide range of stakeholders and ability to drive issues to closure.
  • Experience in providing effective leadership in engagements as a technical consultant in the power and cooling subject matter area.
  • Develop training and knowledge base documentation for technical skills throughout career.

**Salary Range:** AU$120,000 - AU$150,000 per annum + benefits. Estimated salary based on location and industry standards.
