High Performance Data Centre Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking an exceptional Data Centre Chief Engineer to join our team at Amazon. As a leader in critical facility management, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centres, providing expert technical guidance, and driving innovation in infrastructure management.
About the Role
The successful candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in maintaining critical facilities or data centres. They will possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to lead a team of Engineering Operations Technicians in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Cover gaps in a 24 x 7 rotating shift roster.
- Manage contractors, sub-contractors, and vendors to ensure all work performed meets established practices and local legislation.
- Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on critical facility infrastructure operations and maintenance.
- Generate Change Management requests and Incident Management tickets for events managed by DCEO.
- Collaborate with DC managers and business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize plant safety, performance, reliability, sustainability, and efficiency.
