About the Role

The City of Sydney is seeking a highly skilled Electrical Asset Manager to join our team. As a key member of our City Infrastructure and Traffic Operations unit, you will be responsible for the custodianship of our complex network of electrical and lighting assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement plans, programs, and strategies to ensure the asset inventory is maintained, renewed, upgraded, or expanded to meet the City's asset management and strategic objectives.
  • Provide expert advice and services in relation to the City's portfolio of electrical and lighting assets, ensuring they are environmentally and financially sustainable and meet the needs of the community.
  • Lead the development of technical briefs and manage consultants, with a strong focus on contract management.
  • Manage and report on capital works and operational programs, including engineering financial management.
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in the asset management of electrical and lighting assets in the public domain.
  • Highly developed leadership skills, oral and written communication skills, and ability to develop and maintain good relationships with clients, stakeholders, and service providers.
  • Subject matter expertise in public lighting.
  • Advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills, especially in regard to data integration.
