Luxury Fashion Buyer Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Fashion Purchaser to join our luxury fashion division in Melbourne. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for identifying and acquiring high-end products that meet the needs of our discerning customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Product Sourcing: Collaborate with designers to develop pre- and in-season product strategies, providing regular feedback on sales, trends, competitors, and areas of opportunity.
  • Purchasing: Purchase high-quality products that meet business objectives, managing OTB from start to finish, and driving strategies to maximize opportunities.
  • Performance Analysis: Analyze sales performance, work with retail, online, and marketing teams to boost sales, and participate in international and domestic store visits.
  • Reporting: Conduct weekly and monthly analysis of retail and WS reporting, seasonal analysis by collection, and compile EOS summaries.
  • Inventory Management: Work with planning to manage markdowns, bundle deals, and forecasting opportunities.
  • Trend Identification: Identify new brands and trends that align with our company vision.

Requirements:

  • 4-5 years of retail purchasing experience in a fashion and/or luxury environment.
  • Experience in Product Sourcing and branded buys.
  • Strong eye for luxury products.
  • Commercial awareness and strong business acumen.
  • Proven ability to drive results.
  • Forecasting and analytical experience, with a strong aptitude for numbers.
  • Proficient in Excel, with demonstrated ability to create excel-based reports and templates.
  • Experience with a retail management system like AP21.
