Job Summary

The Welfare Support Coordinator is a critical role that plays a pivotal part in enhancing the capacity of labour sending unit (LSU) welfare staff to deliver effective wellbeing support to workers, their families, and communities in labour sending countries.

  • This role involves working closely with the Welfare Support Manager to implement activities that strengthen the capacity of LSU welfare teams to manage welfare cases and engage with specialist referral organisations.
  • The Coordinator will foster an active community of practice among LSU welfare teams to promote peer learning, knowledge exchange, and continuous improvement.
  • They will also coordinate opportunities for professional development for LSU welfare staff to enhance their capacity to support workers and their families.

This role requires a unique blend of interpersonal skills, technical expertise, and project management capabilities. The ideal candidate will be able to build strong relationships with LSU welfare teams and facilitate collaborative planning to ensure seamless integration of welfare support activities into broader program goals.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and implement activities that strengthen the capacity of LSU welfare teams to deliver welfare support.
  • Develop and maintain an active community of practice among LSU welfare teams.
  • Facilitate opportunities for continued professional development for LSU welfare staff.
  • Contribute to the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and case management tools.
  • Support LSU teams in adopting SOPs and referral processes.
  • Collaborate with other teams to integrate welfare considerations into broader program activities.
