Job Title: Wellbeing Worker

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Wellbeing Worker to join our team at TeamHEALTH. As a Wellbeing Worker, you will provide support and motivation to individuals with mental illness, helping them to recover and live a meaningful life.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide residential, group or outreach support for participants
  • Support participants to engage in community, social and recreational activities
  • Assist participants with daily living skills
  • Engage participants in person-centred and strengths-based conversations to support individual goals

Essential Requirements:

  • Understanding of how mental illness can affect an individual's day-to-day living
  • Understanding of the recovery model and psychosocial rehabilitation
  • Ability to form effective working partnerships with all stakeholders
  • Action-oriented, flexible and innovative with the ability to work collaboratively as part of a small team
  • Ability to uphold the rights of people with a mental illness
  • Demonstrated ethical work practices including and understanding of appropriate personal boundaries
  • Demonstrated communication skills (written and verbal), with the ability to interact with a diverse range of people
  • Demonstrated computer literacy
