Job Title: Travel Risk and Insurance Coordinator

Overview:

The Travel Risk and Insurance Coordinator is responsible for managing the travel insurance program for our organization, ensuring that employees are adequately covered while traveling internationally. This role involves coordinating with insurance providers, brokers, and other stakeholders to negotiate coverage terms, manage claims, and provide guidance on travel-related risks.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Insurance Program Management: Develop and implement a comprehensive travel insurance program that meets the organization's needs, including identifying coverage gaps and negotiating with providers to fill them.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential threats to employee safety and security while traveling, and develop strategies to mitigate these risks through insurance solutions.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Provide timely and effective communication to employees, management, and other stakeholders on travel-related risks and insurance matters, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of insurance programs.
  • Claims Management: Manage the claims process from start to finish, ensuring that all necessary documentation is submitted in a timely manner and that employees receive fair and prompt compensation for any losses or damages incurred during travel.
  • Compliance and Governance: Ensure that the organization's travel insurance program complies with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards, and maintain accurate records of all transactions and communications related to the program.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., business administration, international relations, risk management).
  • Experience: 5-10 years of experience in insurance coordination, travel risk management, or a related field, preferably within a multinational or development sector organization.
  • Skills: Strong understanding of insurance principles, travel safety frameworks, and regulatory requirements across various jurisdictions; excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills; ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain accurate records, and produce reports for senior management.
