About the Role

As a Materials and Design educator, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective learning experiences to students. This involves designing and implementing curricula, assessing student progress, and contributing to the development of the Foundation Studies program.

You will also be responsible for teaching delivery, including face-to-face and online classes, using Learning Management Systems such as Canvas and Microsoft Teams. Your expertise in 3D design and materials, technical drawing, and 3D modelling software will be essential in this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and deliver high-quality curricula and learning materials for Materials and Design courses.
  • Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure academic success.
  • Contribute to the development of the Foundation Studies program, including curriculum design and implementation.
  • Demonstrate expertise in 3D design and materials, technical drawing, and 3D modelling software.
  • Teach delivery of courses, including face-to-face and online classes, using Learning Management Systems.
Requirements

To be successful in this position, you will need:

  • A recognised degree relevant to the course being taught.
  • A formal qualification in education, plus minimum two years' relevant teaching experience.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Demonstrated skills and experience in delivering and assessing both face-to-face and online classes.
  • VIT registration or Current Working with Children Clearance.
Desirable Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Experience teaching international students in a secondary school setting.
  • Proven collegiality and the ability to share ideas.
  • Knowledge of current pedagogical practices.
