BESIX Watpac is a leading construction company that requires an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee the day-to-day activities of on-site staff, including subcontractors and their various disciplines. The successful candidate will have excellent leadership skills and the ability to drive company safety policies, practices, and procedures in compliance with OH&S legislative requirements.

The key responsibilities of this position include:

  • Ensuring that all site activities are conducted safely and efficiently
  • Cordinating materials, equipment, personnel, and materials handling plant to meet project deadlines
  • Reporting daily to the Site Manager on any issues that may impact project timelines or safety
  • Allocating necessary site staff and resources to ensure project completion

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will also be responsible for:

  • Re-sequencing construction activities as needed to achieve programmed completion dates
  • Ensuring quality and compliance with standards and contract documents
  • Implementing and policing the Company's policies and practices on safety, industrial relations, and quality assurance at the work face

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A degree or diploma in building/construction or other recognised tertiary or trade qualification in a construction related field
  • Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously using initiative, sound reasoning, listening, and decision-making skills
  • Proven high level of professionalism, maturity, and candour in daily work ethic
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems

This is a full-time position offering a competitive remuneration package and long-term career development opportunities.
